Confirmation of the number of shifts worked
From 2026, this service provides information on the number of shifts worked and the date on which the maximum permissible exposure is reached in employment with a permanent workplace underground in deep mines. It also provides information on the number of shifts worked in employment as a paramedic or member of a company’s firefighting unit, or in high-risk employment.
The Czech Social Security Administration (CSSA) prepares these confirmations using data reported by your employer through the Single Monthly Report.
- From 1 January 2026, employers report the following data every calendar month through the Single Monthly Employer Report: the number of shifts worked and the date on which the maximum permissible exposure is reached in employment with a permanent workplace underground in deep mines, and the number of shifts worked in employment as a paramedic or member of a company’s firefighting unit, or in high-risk employment.
- Using the above data, the CSSA prepares a confirmation of employment with a permanent workplace in deep mines and a confirmation of the number of shifts worked in high-risk employment or in employment as a paramedic or member of a company’s firefighting unit.
- Each confirmation covers the period from 1 January of the calendar year or from the date on which the insured person’s participation in pension insurance began, if it began after 1 January, and ends on 31 December of the calendar year or on the date this participation ends, if it ends before 31 December.
- Once prepared, the CSSA is required to make these confirmations available to employees through the CSSA ePortal.
- The confirmations are prepared and made available on the CSSA ePortal (in the same way as pension insurance records) for each calendar year, no later than 30 April of the following calendar year. If participation in pension insurance ends before 31 December, they are prepared and made available within one month of the final settlement of income, but no later than 31 January of the following calendar year.

… no confirmation is displayed, or a confirmation for a particular year is missing?
The CSSA only makes confirmations of the number of shifts worked available on the CSSA ePortal from 2026 onwards. If no confirmation is displayed for the previous calendar year, or for the current year where participation in pension insurance ends before 31 December, the data may not yet be in CSSA records because they are still being processed. You can check again later to see whether the missing confirmation has been added to CSSA records.
… you have found that a confirmation is missing even though it should already be available on the CSSA ePortal?
Contact a District Social Security Administration (DSSA), for example the one for your place of permanent residence. If:
- the employer exists, the DSSA will ask the employer to fulfil its statutory obligation. You can also contact your employer directly and ask them to submit the data for inclusion in CSSA records;
- the employer no longer exists or cannot be contacted, the DSSA will accept the documents you have available (or make copies of them) and begin an investigation, even if the employer has or had its registered office in another district.
